I am currently a sophomore business student at Villanova University. I’m thinking of majoring in marketing, but I’m still exploring my options. Ever since I was little I’ve always loved fashion and anything that involved using my creativity. I even went to a fashion design summer camp, but I realized that designing was not my passion. I was still passionate about fashion, but I thought that designing was the only way I could enter that world. As I began my freshman year in college, I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life. However, little by little I started to learn that there are a million things I can do with a degree in business, including working in the fashion industry. My summer before sophomore year I interned for a fashion blog called CollegeFashionista and it was an amazing experience. I learned how to spot trends in street style and enhance my writing skills. By doing this I realized that there are plenty of options for me in the fashion world. And so I am thinking of majoring in marketing because I believe that it’s the creative side of business, and mixing that with fashion would be a dream come true. I don’t have a dream job in the fashion industry yet, but I still have time to learn how I can be part of this amazing industry.
